EOS stands for End of Service in the IT Industry, it usually comes before a piece of equipment End of useful life (EOL).

It can often happen with software, such as with windows a few years back when they changed to the new style operating systems.  This change put many old computers into the EOL category.

EOS is often a very good marker as to what is going to be need when it comes to disposal of the IT equipment in your business, if you like an early warning system.
