Only one third of e-waste is collected in Europe

The figures collected by the EU, state that only 3.3 million tons of e-waste was collected through official channels out of the total 9.3 million tons of e-waste generated in 2012.

In other words, 6 million tons of e-waste was handled by non-approved sources or on the “black market” for want of a better term.

The reason of course is precious metals, but more worryingly is that “Precious Data” could be lost or sold on.

Don’t take a risk, contact Secure Data Recycling and make sure your e-waste is managed in a professional way.
